While Slipstream prepared the nest, she turned to the tom, "How can I thank you enough. What is your name?" She mewed. "My name is Thor." He mewed. "I can help you move him to the den." He offered. "Yes, that would be great." Peacecry mewed. Thor repeated the gentle process of lifting Stormshadow onto his shoulders and followed Peacecry into the den. "Is it ready, Slipstream?" She called.

Slipsteam called a quick yes and went into his nest to think.

Thor laid Stormshadow into the nest beside the sleeping Lilacstar. "I can see your clan has seen better times." He mewed. "I wish I could offer you more help." "You've already done so much." Peacecry responded. "But it's getting dark, I think you should stay here for the night." "Thank you, I can hunt tomorrow and bring back fresh kill for you and your clanmates in return." Peacecry barely listened, but nodded her head in gratitude. There was no room in her mind for anything but Stormshadow. She pressed her nose to his cheek and curled up beside him.

“Peace? Are you here?” Asked Shadowstorm weakly.

"Yes, Storm." She mewed softly. "I'm here."

Stormshadow was comforted by the words and fell asleep.

"Yes, how do your wounds feel?" She mewed gently.

"They're pretty bad. Oh Storm, I was so worried you would die. It was awful. If Thor hadn't helped me carry you back to camp, I don't know what I would have done." She mewed.
