(I am not asking for help!!! I am making a statement.)

If chick hatches and the bottom shell is still attached I do not clip it off. especially if it is not dry and looks reddish. I crumble the hard shell away and leave the inner lining attached. (it is best to keep chick separate) once the cord dries up it will fall off. there is less drag this way.

Let it dry, if it doesnt break then, just cut it the cord.
