If my dad was a Buff Orphington....

One of or both parents were not pure.
You would not get a Green Legged fowl with feathered shanks out of any of those crosses.

Buff Orpington Rooster over a Buff Orpington Hen = All Buff offspring with White legs.
Buff Orpington Rooster over a Barred Rock Hen = Barred male and Black female offspring with White legs.
Buff Orpington Rooster over a Silver Laced Wyandotte Hen = Gold male and Silver female offspring with White legs.
Buff Orpington Rooster over a Rhode Island Red Hen = Gold/ish colored offspring White legs.

So it could be a number of different mixes... My Aunt thought the rooster was either a gold sex link or buff orpington but somewhere I read gold sex link roos are white....am I confused?
