So I've never bought an animal at a pet store in my life, and after I got my three chicks from one and started to do research on here, I remebered why. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the "Ameraucana" they sold me is not one, so what would you say she is? EE or Leghorn?

PS - the blue is not natural - she brushed up against paint

Looks like a leghorn to me.... unless those legs are green, the it would be an EE

the coloring looks like my white leghorn, but it seems like mine has a tail that sticks up higher and straighter

darn!! Yes, the legs are bright yellow, and she is full-size. Most of the time her tail feathers stick up at almost a 90 degree angle from her back - they are really pretty. But I really wanted green or blueish eggs!!
Here is another pic:

Not all EE have green legs ~ I have 3 EE/Spangled Russian Orloff hens who all have yellow legs yet 2 of them lay green eggs. I think they get their leg color from their daddy.

Uh oh... that looks exactly like 2 of my hens. That means my two supposedly "Buff Wyandottes" could be leghorns!!! Darn, I wanted wyandottes because of their friendly nature. From what I read, Leghorns aren't so friendly in comparison.

I knew the man who helped me choose the chicks was not a professional... I should have gotten someone else to help me. Now I ended up with two buff wyandottes, and two that could be white leghorns. Oh well...

Wait till her earlobs change color, you could get lucky and have a white rock (red earlobes). Although yours looks a lot thinner than my WR so maybe yours is a leghorn after all.
