If she's not an Ameraucana, what is she? EE? Leghorn?

Great - I was hoping I wouldn't have any of them trying to fly over the fence around my yard when I let the free - range. She definately has the tall tail, I just don't have a good picture of it. And she has always been the flightiest one of the three when I let them out.

I have a friend who has lots of Leghorns that are very friendly--one even loves to be carried around! It takes lots of treats--every time you reach down have a Cheerio in your hand or other goodie.

As for the flying--you may have to cover the top of the area with netting or clip one wing. I'm sure there are instructions somewhere on here so just do a search. You will have to do it after every molt as it will grow back.

What pretty birds! Thank you for all your input, the consensus is obviously Leghorn! Won't we all be surprised if she lays green eggs! It looks like a guy near here is going to give me one of his Ameraucana chicks, and I don't have a white egg layer, so it will all work out. As long as she doesn't fly out of the yard, it's all good......

i have several leghorns. I have found they are not very social-freindly birds, i sure some will disagree. But frantic and flighty, however best for white eggs, bummer if you bought for blue eggs! I would be ticked.
