Backyard Poultry is a good magazine. Tractor Supply carries it as well as UK's magazine, Practical Poultry.

The April/May issue of Backyard Poultry has a nice article about choosing breeds. Although there are only 9 breeds listed on page 21, these are popular breeds.

I just started mine. Just recieved my second issue. I debated whether I would gain any useful information from it. After the first trial mag, I wanted it. Ask them to send you a sample copy. They will bill you for the subscription, but you can cancel if you like.

I get the magazine, and it's actually one I read cover-to-cover. I love it. In the earleir issues there was some excellent information on how to work with aggressive roos. I'd never seen any info ANYWHERE on that before.

I love Backyard Poultry magazine. I will get the new issue when I get paid. My only complaint is I wish it came out every month! The other mag(the British one) is alittle to expensive for me.

Backyard Poultry is a great magazine! I'm on my third issue of a gift subscription given to me by a friend and I find that there is a huge amount of useful information in every issue so far. I wish it was a monthly instead of a bi-monthly magazine too... maybe one day?

Lessee...

The number on their subscription order form is 800.551.5691.

A year is $21, two years is $35 and three years is $49. I have to renew my subscription soon, so I think I'll go for the 3 year deal.
