Open Contest Official BYC Article Writing Contest - #23

But say for instance you were writing an article on the best grass for chickens. You search Google and want to show there are many types. Something like this, I might get corrected as being wrong, but think it's okay.

That's not allowed either.

I think the point is just that it be all original content of our own making, right? That shouldn't be too hard...

My question is, how do we ensure we aren't creating a redundant article? Is there a way to search the articles that bypasses the title... for example, someone may have written one titled "Cupcakes and Chickens" but really it's about treats like mealworms rather than cupcakes. Sorry if this has already been answered.

Redundant articles are allowed. And I don't think there is a way to search the article other than trying different key word searches.

Ends June 26th, 2025

Short Version:
Write a great article and you could win a great prize & have your article featured on the homepage of BYC!

Detailed Version:
We are constantly amazed at how knowledgeable and helpful our community members are! The BYC forum provides a wonderful opportunity for members to post questions and reply with answers. Unfortunately, a lot of really amazing information can get lost in the super activity on the forum.

Over the years we’ve received a ton of requests to add more articles & FAQs to our Learning Center. Our BYC Coop Page Contests have been super successful and now we have over 3000 chicken coop articles in our Chicken Coops section! Hopefully, we can have similar success with this BYC Article Contest!!

This contest is not for coop articles. If you have a coop article, please enter the coop article contest here.
