That was my concern, that hanging them under a tree would place most of them in shade almost all day. Maybe I'll just go with the ones on the deck, that get a lot of sun. Then I can look for a better quality and style.

I think my parent's neighbor has some kind of similar set up. His is out in field between our houses, but we have woods between us and it so I don't see it much.
I don't know much of it, but my dad's an engineer and he told me that's what it was. hehehe I figure it probably works, at least in the summer, given how hot the water in the garden hose gets!!!! But I have my doubts about the winter since I like my showers to be about 125*F

They have that specific setup for pool heating. But for the potable water, has to meet some sort of plumbing code and have a recirculating pump. You could probably DIY it, but I'm just not getting on my roof for that. Nor paying the plumber an arm and a leg or 2 to do it.
