national show should i just expect them to have
mites and treat them when i get them home?

Yes, from any show. Just in case. Better safe than sorry.

How do you treat them? With DE?

I treat mine with Sevin dust but there are a variety of ways to treat them. Some others use Adams Tick and Flea spray. Just know once you treat them that you will need to repeat within seven days to kill any eggs that hatched out.
