My homemade incubator got way too hot last night. then too cold because I turned the light way down and it somehow went out, then too hot again. I figured I had cooked the chicks so I decided to candle a few. So what did I do but drop one and smash it on the floor. Like I didn't have enough trouble getting shipped eggs to hatch. Well, anyway, I got my answer. That little chick was still alive.....for a very short while. But at least maybe some of my other ones survived the roasting too.
