I have to, I have volunteered to see how long the 1588 can hatch eggs without a break. Its exhausting, but Im doing it in the name of science and research.

Lyon Turn X if small # of eggs. I like to call it "set it and forget it"

with or without turner never need to open. Add water and turn eggs from outside.
one with my 3 year old grandson hatch his first. Thats how easy it hatches.

I would buy a Dickey...less expensive than GQF, better made cabinet/material and it has the same guts, plus you get the turner and electronic thermastat. If I didn't buy his I would make one with the better components...not a cheap one, although there are lots of eggs hatched with nothing but a light bulb. Good Luck with your car.

Actually R-Com 20s are still being made, Brinsea is just not selling them. R-Coms come from Korea and now Lyon is the one selling them in the US (I don't know if they have updated their site yet, but I talked to the Lyon people and they confirmed that they are now the distributors). I just got an R-com 20 in Dec and will be buying a second in a couple of weeks. They are very, very easy to use and I have excellent hatch rates.

FYI, I also have the lyon turn x, the lyon cabinet model (I forget the name), a hovabator and a lyon roll x. The R-com has been running since I got it, the others are only used for overflow or loaners.
