If you could live in any State in the U.S. where would you live?

If San Diego was suddenly vaporized and cleared out, I'd consider living there.

Till that happens, I can dream of being gifted a mountain in Northern Arizona, and hunkering down Red Dawn style.

Anywhere cold, rainy, snowy, cloudy more often than not, and mountainy lol... Pretty much the total opposite of where I am now.

You mean you don't like 5 months of winter?! It's only half the year!

Try Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia or southern Colorado. Northern CA might also fit your bill

If you want isolation and a cheap place, NorCal will not be a good fit LOL. Unless, you move to far Northern CA. Then you have mountains, snow and less people. Mountains and cool summers/warmish weather can be had in coastal Oregon and Washington.

LOL! Have you been to Fayetteville? It's like everyone meshes in an area where there are WAY too many people. When that happens, anger abounds. I can't tell you how many times some person has shoved their way past me in a doorway and let the door slam in my face. It's even better when I'm carrying a project around campus. Then there's the traffic. I swear...use the blinkers! They're not there for decoration!!!!!

I have been to the more southern parts of Arkansas...it's not so bad down there except for the hummingbird-sized mosquitoes!

I will say something nice about Arkansas though: There is no place better to see the leaves change.

And yes, the "skeeter" is the AR state bird.

eek I'm already getting mosquito bites! My family vacations to Florida alot during summers, they (and I'm only talking about people I have talked to first hand

) think they have mosquitos! HA! One couple at a zoo can't remember which one, acted like they were getting stung by bees.

Tennessee!!!!! That's where I am now and I love it!!! We had a rough winter this year but where I am our winter usually lasts from December until February. Last year on Valentines day I was out planting my garden in 70 degree weather.

We have a few hot days in the summer but because we're in the mountain area its cooler than say Knoxville and in the winter, normal temps are around 30 degrees. We do have days where it drops in the teens but overall, high 20's to low 30's is the normal winter temps. After living in NY my entire life and having below zero temps, I can handle this!

I remember how pretty Tennessee would be whenever I had to drive from Michigan back to Georgia, where I am from.

definitely the MTN of NC. We have the 4 seasons some snow , not usually much , beautiful Springs and Summers and colorful falls. I love the weather. And we have trees beautiful green trees. The air has a sweet smell all summer from the wild flowers and trees. You can grow things so well too. We have waterfalls and streams . Just a wonderful place to live. Gloria Jean
