Do you mean civilization as CA? Because I didn't. I just meant civilization as urban and suburban areas in any state.

This place is beautiful. Alright, alright, it's a little expensive, and the education system is in shambles. And, we're on the verge of bankruptcy. What's not to love?

Still, I'd stay here. Maybe move a little more central coastal.

The rolling hills of southern Ohio.

Don't want to live anywhere else. Shucks, don't want to even go anywhere
else. Can go for weeks and not even leave my place.

Can see the neighbors house in the winter. Summer... only my own world.
Dirt road goes right through my front yard.

Made a world where I work at home. I depend on my computers, cell phones
and fax machines. Happy in my valley.

Small town boy...we did get a new pop machine last year. Makes us two machines
now. Only thing you can buy within five miles of my house. Shucks, when Bob and
his family went on vacation last year, good thing nobody had a fire. He had the keys
to our firetruck with him.

Small town. Pretty much every body here is third and fourth generation stuff. You know
their parents, their grandparents.

I agree. I've visited other states. They're nice, but I will always want to call California home. At least, we get to see sun in February and our growing season is more than 4 months long. BTW, many other states are in as bad, if not worse, financial fixes. Our state is just the most publicized.
