I broke down and finally put 2 eggs in my incubator from my girl Puddles. She is ten years old and this is the third year we have had a gander, a brown Chinese. She is a white Chinese and I have heard if you cross the types, that females will be white and males will be brown. Is this true??? I can't seem to get a absolute answer on this.... I had this question on another forum but I didn't realize there was a "goose" forum. :) Most on here are saying they don't think the color would be sex linked...

The gosling won't be auto sexing unfortunately if you cross these two colors with the Chinese breed.

Since the gander is brown the majority of the gosling's will be brown with random white amongst the brown feathers.

Pilgrim geese are the only true auto sexing breed.

Some cross breeds you can have a good guess what sex they could be but that's only with greylag type breed's (Embden, Toulouse, Pilgrim etc.)

Keep us updated on the babies though!
