You end up with babies!!!!

Hubby went to check on their food and water after I went to bed last night and we have hatchlings! I am waiting for it to get light enough to check. I knew they loved their new pen with all the hay to root through, the fun hiding places, the plants, etc... but I didn't know they managed to pull off hatching chicks!!!

Ok...forgot to keep 2 things in mind.

1) hubby is a city boy at heart
2) he is blonde

Our "baby quail" was actually a baby sparrow that left the nest too early. It was dead when I went out there.

So I guess the lesson is create a more nature setting and nature shows up for a free meal!
