It's a worm preventative for them. They would LOVE it and then the vitamins from it is returned to you in their eggs

Pumpkin scones! I love the ones Starbucks has, and since I grow pumpkins every year for my Christmas pies, I always have a lot left and I figured out how to make those yummy scones.

I use pumpkin to make a pumpkin custard - - it gets baked in the oven like pumpkin pie. However, there is no CRUST involved. So it is healthier for you and quicker to make.
 
Put the pumpkin in a slow cooker, add brown sugar or honey, spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe a little ginger, and cook until dark brown. Pumpkin butter...delicious on whole wheat toast.
