Love, love, love the historic coop! I am soooo jealous. Most farm structures made of wood in Louisiana over 100 years ago have succumbed to the termites and moisture. In the place of them, you see bright colored metal barns! Your coop is a treasure just like your chicks!

We are still in the process of building our new 10x20 chicken "Henthouse" It will soon be covered with green and clay colored siding, and will have an attached 20x40 run. I will update the pictures as soon as we do! I love it! My man went over the top with this project. He is currently working on the roosts and 25 nesting boxes for either end of the house. I know my chicks can't wait to leave the brooder box, and move in....

our chicken coop is a small barn shape but i dont have pictures yet. hopefully soon.the outside is medal it was here when we moved in. right now its a dog fence area. our chicks are still to little to go into a coop. is there a rule of how long after the dogs be moved can we put chickens in there.

My husband built my Little Deuce Coop last year. I wanted a little more room for chickens- I got a LOT more room, so I just kept the bators running all year! LOL
