We're still building our coop, but the chicks have outgrown the brooder. They are now in a baby pen with a sheet of plywood on the top. I take it outside in the daytime and bring it in at night. The ladies (I hope...can't tell) are put in a cat carrier and transported between locations. Yesterday, I went to put them in, and one of the grey ones (supposed to be an Americaun) hops up on the carrier, onto the side of the pen, and out into the yard. So here I am, trying to catch this darned chicken, hoping she hasn't given the rest of the flock any bright ideas. I finally grab her, and look back at the pen. There are the other 5 chickens, all looking out at us like it's the best show ever. I swear they were laughing at me.

One of my chickens did the same thing! The little girl I babysit afterward would act it out, she thought it was so funny.

I love when chickens do that. I think they act like us sometimes.

Chickens can secretly channel Houdini. They are so clever!

I have one that can get out of any enclosure. I think she can dematerialize, seriously! Lol!

That's amazing xD My one hen isn't quite so graceful in her escape, cause you can always spot her hopping on top of the run to get out of the yard. However! She is smart enough to teach the other ladies to do it too =.=' haven't had to chase one yet, but I think that day is coming up soon.

Haha! I always try treats first, but I've had to get help to catch them now and then. Thank goodness they see their run and coop as home, otherwise we would probably never catch them. Lol!
