Well...I have no experience with the other breeds, but I would NOT choose the Wellsummer!!! Not friendly, very flighty and at 10 months, I have yet to get an egg!!!

Well, I have no experience with any of those breeds, but I WANT to add Welsummer and a Buckeye to my small flock.... so, given somebody said nay to Welsummer, let's go with Buckeye.

If one of my six breeds were listed, I'd go with Buff Orpington. Although my Australorp is the most curious, interesting, and courageous of my hens.

BUCKEYE!!! My buckeyes are so friendly and follow me around like a puppy dog.It may be because I spoil mine with treats though.
