I'm too old, too open minded (we'll leave it at that) and the consistent mention of this thing has finally got me bringing way too many things to mind.

Kid's little junky toy filled with water. That orange thing in the picture is a wiggler/weasel, whatever. Probe in there simulates egg internal temp.
