I'll make your duck look like a painting!

Post a picture of your duck and i will edit it to make it look like a painting.....try to find a pic of your duck that has some colors, a solid color wont look as good. Here are some before and after examples of my wood duck and mandarin duck....

I'm not sure this one looks that good because 1. its a baby so it still has fluff and 2. It has a very hard pattern, so i made it a solid color...but anyway thanks for posting the pic !

What are you using to make these paintings? PhotoShop has a great 'painting' filter called Angled Strokes (I think aviary and GiMP have the same filter as well) that does a decent job of adding brushstrokes. I also threw on another filter on top, called Texturizer, that adds some canvas to the image.

I just use paint shop pro 8 and use the freehand selection to select areas with like color, then I use the color dropper to get a color in that region, then I floodfill the selection with that color. I like doing it this way because it makes the duck look kind of abstract while keeping the background regular....
