OK, so I'm new here and have been lurking around for a couple months. I have learned a ton and now have 8 girls in their new home! However, there is still so much I'm trying to learn. I think this site needs a DICTIONARY page somewhere. There are A LOT of abbreviations and words that I have to navigate away from BYC to Google to find the meaning. [It took me nearly two weeks to figure out what a "DH" was and another to figure out what a Broody Hen was. I thought chickens had Designated Hitters used somehow!] I emailed the Mods for BYC and they told me to post on the forums to see if there would be an interest. Sooooooo, anyone think it'd be beneficial?

Well it sounds like a good idea to me...

I do think in future instead of wondering, just come right out and ask if ya want to know.
I doubt anyone will bite your head off if you do

We were all new at one time and understand.

Here's
the dictionary for technical terms involving chickens.

If you mean adding a dictionary for just abreviations like DH (dear husband), DS (dear son or dear sister), DD (dear daughter or dear dad), DW (dear wife), MIL (mother in law), etc then that might be beneficial. Broody hen is a technical word though
