Hi everyone. I am in peotone Illinois. Trying to convince hubby in building a coop. I am looking to get a few ee for the kids.

Oh, good luck with that! I think your kids would really enjoy that, especially if you get them involved with them when they are baby chicks. That way, your chickens will be very friendly.

All the EEs I've had have layed a nice, sea-foam green egg. They're also very friendly. You can even get, say three chicks, and the egg color can be different for each one.

I hope you convince your hubby! They're alot of fun, plus, they're really not too bad to clean up after if you only keep a few.
