Anyone else thinking of going?

I'm not going to exhibit anything but I'll be there on Saturday to pick up some poultry supplies (there is always a booth stocked with wormers, meds, leg-bands, feeders, waterers, etc, etc, etc) and see whatever/whoever there is to see. They have a nice sized sale area so if you or someone you know is looking for something, check it out.

Well this is good to know!!!! I will definately have to go now!!!

Thank you!! I didn't even know about this, but I'll definitely make a point of going just to ogle the chickens!

Oh, and does anyone know who can sell me eating eggs in the Boone County/Winnebago County area? I don't have chickens at the moment.

You'll love all the different kinds of chickens and other poultry, too! Many breeds are soooo beautiful "live"...... pictures can never do them justice.

Have you tried looking on Local Harvest? http://www.localharvest.org/
Leave the setting at ALL and type eggs on the right where it says "Name/Description/Product" and then put in your zip code. I've found great providers of different products around me that I never knew about.

Thank you for the tip about finding eggs! I think I have a couple of leads I will try contacting. :)
I used to have chickens when I was still living in California, but gave them up because we were moving and because I didn't think one neighbor appreciated them...Agh. So I'm waiting until we get our own little house in the country. In the meantime I try to go to poultry shows or county fairs so I can look at live chickens! I went to the Boone County Fair and loved the poultry barn. I didn't see very many nice looking Marans but the Silkies were beautiful.
