Illinois...

Unfortunately, we had two of those poults die from unknown causes. :hit We have 12 chickens left, plus 2 chicks. One of our guineas died, as well. Ducks are doing good, though!

I told husband that and all he said was oh boy. Not sure what to do with that. Cinnamon our buff orpington is his favorite.

editing i keep meaning to ask.. on a brahma is 3 rows a male trait the way it is with EE? I am highly suspicious of ours. I see three rows, and pinkish hue. Its 10 or 11 weeks old..

I am not 100% sure but I believe that is true

To say I have plenty is an understatement. LOL

I moved Cookie into the brooder for a forced adoption. She favors her 3 chicks, but there are 20 2 week old orps already in there. She's not attacking them, so I consider it a success. They'll be fine with or without her protection. My goal is to be able to keep them in the same chicken tractor.

Here's Cookie's 1st & only biological baby:

I believe one of the "Mini Moose" is the daddy, so purebred orp. There's a 30% it's "Drumsticks" (so 1/2 Spitzhauben), but I'm not seeing any Spitz traits.
