If you take I-88 west out of Chicago and take exit 41 south, you're just a few miles from out place.

We'll be having out 5th Annual Homesteading Weekend June 27-28 (most activities will be the 27)

How far are you from Morris, IL?

We have a Civil War reenactment there at the Dallinger Farm in October, before Halloween. Beautiful place! Not sure if we will be heading that way this year depending on our money situation.

We're about 95 miles west and north of Morris.

The reason we'll be having more activities on the 27 is there is a Civil War event in Franklin Grove that weekend. DS will be there all weekend (Confederate Artillery) and DH will be with the Confederate Calvary on Sunday. (He swings both ways and also portrays Yankee Calvary)

Franklin Grove is east of Dixon a few miles. Just a blip on the map. I believe the Confederates are holding the town this year.

Blandinsville? Do you believe I've actually heard of that place? My daughter used to have a boyfriend that lived in Blandinsville. It's just north of Macomb, right?
