From Ohio, living now in southern IL. Near Elco and Tamms.

Not sure of the breeds of anything we have about 20 layers mostly reddish (I've been told Cherry Leghorn) and few other mixed layers, One large red rooster and a smaller white silkie rooster, a handful of banty hens with one rooster, a white hen turkey with a brown tom, and about 12 guinea. And a goat.

i see a lot of post about swap meets and auctions in northern illinios but ive been tring to find some in southern illinios could you help me out any. only one i know of right now is the one in waterloo but i dont know the dates for it.

Don't know of too many other than Waterloo and Kankakee swaps..those are the 2 biggest that I know of. Depending on how far south you are and how close you are to the Indiana border there is a poultry and small animal auction twice a month from March through November in Veedersburg, Indiana. Very large sale, stuff sells very well.

thanks looks like its about a 4 hrs drive from me or so google says id have to wait till i had a good batch of animals to make that trip but sounds interesting.
