I live east of springfield--- and have Cornish-- not the cornish cross butcher birds. the real ones.Thank you for the very pretty "welcome"! Where in Illinois are you? Tell me about your chickens.
I looked up Cornish on this website....such pretty birds. Do you only use them for meat or are they dual purpose?I live east of springfield--- and have Cornish-- not the cornish cross butcher birds. the real ones.
Sounds like you have a nice flock! Where did you get the Icelandics? I'd never heard of them before & looked them up & they are gorgeous! BTW I love your part of the state,,,much more scenic than central IL.I live in north central Illinois....rural Lee County....north of I-80, south of I-88 and west of I-39.
I have a flock of Icelandics and New Hampshires, with a few "oddballs" thrown in....oh, and twelve coturnix quail..........
I live outside of Maroa, so we're practically neighbors! Do you raise the ducks for eggs or meat?i live in weldon illinois. and raise muscovy ducks and spitzhauben chickens
Quote: I got Icelandics two and a half years ago from BYCer The Sheriff., and I love them. One of my cockerels from this year is my new avatar.
