I just candled my duck eggs at the end of Day 3. (Yes, I know I'm early... but I couldn't wait.)

All I see is really what looks like the yolk and an air sack. Should I not see veins yet?

I'd try to be patient until day 6, I can sometimes see the embryo at 5 days but its not always certain. Hope you get a good result

Thanks for the answers guys! I know... I know... Patience. I'm just a little too excited right now.

I've never candled before. I've always just waited. So I didn't know really what was normal. It literally looks like the yolk stuck to the side of the egg. I must learn Patience!!!

I'm new to hatching and candling, too. It's so hard to be patient, I know. It takes practice to get the hang of it and I would air on the side of caution, especially when it's so early. I learned from the experts on this site that if it doesn't stink or leak, leave it alone.
