I'm a little confused. Hen or roo?

I have these two roo's or well I have always thought they were roos but they are 4 almost 5 months old and their saddle feathers are round like a hen's while their hatchmates that are roos hsve the long pointy saddle feathers of a roo

Thanks i always thought they were cockerels because they developed red combs early on. Which i was told meant cockerel
