Both or only one?I think pullet
Thanks i always thought they were cockerels because they developed red combs early on. Which i was told meant cockerelBoth
Thank you I am ecstatic to know i have two more hens.I have a RIR that I thought was a cockerel until yesterday, I realized "he" had round saddle feathers, and when I asked about "him" on BYC, everyone said pullet
Thank you this is very helpful especially now that i am starting to want to thin out my rooster population. At the moment i have 29 roosters and 64 hens and two roosters are being sold on friday so the more hens the betterTwo pullets. Some pullets "comb up" early, so red/pink comb and wattles at an early age, while a good predictor of gender, is not always 100% guarantee of a cockerel. By
16-20 weeks male specific saddle feathers should definitely have started coming in if they were males.
