Had 2 chicks hatch today from my last group. So far doing well...very loud and active !!!

4 were not fertile and still 4 waiting to see if will hatch … no pipping yet.

Congrats. Becareful of ones that do not hatch. I had one quail egg explode in my ear when i tried to listem for a sign of life. Worst feeling ever still have ear pain and that happened on Saturday Night

final count from the dozen eggs I had had in incubator....5 not fertile.....5 dead in shell ( don't know why...were fully formed ) … and 2 live chicks.

We are very happy nonetheless. Babies ( still to be named ) and doing well. 4 days old and eating and drinking and peeping whenever I go into the room to handle them and talk to them.

It's very warm here … wondering when I can move them outside to the baby chick pen in the coop.
