I'm a new egg!!

I'm so happy to have stumbled to this site!!.....My husband and I have worked on our coop on and off for almost year now( money's tight)Our neighbor gave us....actually gave us 10 hens and 1 rooster!! He said he's been watching us(kind of creepd me out) try to build our own coop and when he saw a roof and door,he came over to inspect the coop. He gave us 2 thumbs up!! he gave us our 1st "family". I'm new to the whole country thing and I have no clue about breeds.I hope with a neighbor and the help from you all here,my family will be as blessed as you all are!
