Hi there! I just joined and am ready to introduce myself! My name is Robin. 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We have had chickens for a few years now. We started with 6, added 4 more...
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Now we have 17!
(3) What breeds do you have? Are our girls are barred rock.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? facebook (I think!)
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I like to sew, quilt, and embroider. I play mandolin in our family's bluegrass gospel band.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am married (33 years) and we have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. We are in the beginning years of starting a permaculture forest garden on our 86 acres in Wisconsin. And we enjoy foraging for wild food. Besides our 17 hens, we have three cats, two dogs, and a guinea pig. I homeschooled all of our children. Still homeschooling our youngest daughter, 11 years old. Love my family, and love the Lord!

) My wife and I home-schooled our children, and now our daughter is following in our footsteps with our granddaughter (pictured in my avatar). My granddaughter loves our chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
