I'm a newbie to chickens

Welcome to the best place to be for all things chicken. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would become addicted to...you guessed it, CHICKENS. Over my life I have always loved and owned a variety of animals, except chickens. If only I had known, those little feathery boogers would have been added to my love and ownership list. Long story short, I’m glad I know now.
Their eggs are better than any you can buy and their antics go on and on and on.
We are all glad to have you here.

I have to take baby steps around my chickens because they are always running in front of my feet. I need to make myself a cattle guard to wear while walking to keep from stepping on them. They love me so much.

I know what you mean. Sometimes when I let them out of the run it would appear I’m about to be attacked by them all, only to find out they outrun me back to the door to see if there’s any dog food leftovers. They ARE smart and now I see they are a creature of habit too.
