hi i have a rooster and would like to incubate some eggs ive cleaned the coop and changed the hey in the laying box is there any thing else i can do to keep te eggs good and clean this is my first flock and my first time incubating and would love some tips thanks

Layer feed with OS and grit in separate containers is good for a laying flock and perfect nutrition for producing eggs.
However, it isn't enhanced for breeding flocks. Not only does the nutrition have to be good enough to make an egg, the egg needs to contain enough vitamins and minerals to make baby chickens.
That's why women take pre-natal vitamins.
Additionally, a rooster really shouldn't be eating layer feed since he isn't producing egg shells.

You may be able to find a breeder ration.
There's a good product called Nutri-Drench. It is loaded with vitamins, minerals and the amino acids lysine and methionine. There are instructions on the label for age of bird.
Snacks? Not necessarily. You could add some kelp to the feed for micronutrients.
