yup~!!!

sonew, I'm so sorry. I used fingernail polish on my turner plug. I just put a T on both sides of it. I'm hoping everything works out. Just remember how long some broodys stay off their nest. Good luck.

Ditto. If it was day 10, I would be more concerned. Day 4... plug it back in and candle on day 8 and see what happens. I hope the news at that point is all good.

Sonew, I somehow knocked my entire power strip out of the wall around Day 14 - from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m., the incubator was off. Of course I was horrified to find cold eggs the next morning. I plugged it right back in, and the eggs kept developing! Didn't seem to miss a beat. Seven days later, I had two adorable Andalusians out of six eggs. I attribute those odds more to the fact that the eggs were shipped cross country, rather than the temperature fluctuation.

Still don't know if I'm a roo hatcher or not! I have those two babies, two Silkies, two Exchequer Leghorns, six Australorps (one trying to heal from an open navel), a Black Copper Marans, and two Blue Orpingtons (one trying to heal from an open navel). And at least half will turn out to be roos, right?

Good luck to you. You didn't screw things up - it was just a hiccup.

Since it is so early in the game I am holding out hope for you. Lets see, with that mass of eggs and the bator closed and undisturbed they were probably cool for only a short period of time. Once I found my broody off the nest one morning getting some breakfast, didn't think must of it. Then that afternoon I found her free ranging over the bank where I couldn't see her. She must of seen me bolt for the coop because while I was feeling her very cool eggs she came in all in a tizzy. I think she forgot......well long story short they all hatched. Here's hoping for you
