The best bait I've had luck with for raccoons is marshmallows. They LOVE them.
We had a raccoon here years ago I just could not trap. Called in a family friend who is a trapper, he used one of the hand hold traps people have suggested - turned out to be a huge male over 25 lbs - literally too big to fit intp my havaheart.

Dang it, it just killed another one of my girls buuuttt his ass is dead now too. Shot him out of the tree. My wounded girl is still alive from last week. She is even laying eggs in the crate.

In most areas raccoon relocation is illegal, it is kinda mean to catch your problem and dump it on someone else I'm glad you have decided to kill them, good luck

Good job. Hoe big are they? If you've found 2 there are probably more. I need to set traps tonight myself... The geese were going crazy about something in the middle of the night.

I just ordered 2 DP foot hold traps. No coon issues yet. We've killed a number of them. If they wander across our property, they are immediately dispatched. The last one was mid day, loaded with porcupine quills. I'm guessing she was either rabid or had distemper.
