Uruguay!

What is it like there? I know nothing about it.
Weather, people, cost of living, etc...?
What is it like moving to another country? How was that experience? Is it strict there with laws? Are you allowed to own a firearm for protection?

1. I don't like it. Others would find it pretty, with rolling sierras.
2. Climate similar to Texas, but less extreme. Pool season for only a few months, pool is always cold. Windy.
3. People are nice, but they all speak Spanish. Crime is very low.
4. Cost of loving is higher, groceries higher, gas is 8 dollars a gallon, but property taxes are almost none.
5. Horrible. Horrendous. I don't even want to get into it.
6. Not really, they allow pot
7. Not for a while, until we have a permit. They don't like guns here. You can have a small one.

did you move there for work? Family? Something new?

I don't really speak Spanish. Just enough to get by. My family and I think we made a mistake coming here. We really dislike it here, we're thinking of moving back to the US.

If you are unhappy I say when you get all things In order plan your escape! Especially if you have children. How you want them to experience childhood helps give you more motivation to come up with ideas on how to move. I know moving is very expensive especially from one country to another.
Just don’t move to RI. I live in RI right now and I can’t wait to leave!
What’s nice about your situation is you got to experience something totally new and different. And now you know for sure what you don’t like and what you don’t want for your future.
Now you have to post what you decide to do in the future because I feel invested now. Haha. I need to know what you decided!!

We don't care about the money. I'm a teen, and my parents realized that I can't really have a life here. There's more opportunities for all of us in PA.

Ohhhh! That explains it. Your parents definitely tried to do something they thought was a good choice. And it’s okay to make mistakes! I’m in my 30’s and trust me I’m still making mistakes!
It was a learning experience for your whole family. I LOOOOOVE PA! I have not been in years but I would definitely live there! I hope you and your family have a safe trip home one day.
Keep me posted! Also, if you know you and your family are def. going to move back maybe there is something you have not done where you are that could be a last hurrah? Good luck!
