That's hard to say, I got confused by the diagrams at the start and it was all downhill from there, I am not a practical man and now I feel as though education has failed me somewhere along the line!

That's definitelly true, and yeah that would help but this thread is comedy gold, to be fair I don't actually have any plans to build an incubator so I'm not entirely sure how I ended up here and if I was planning on building one I'm sure everything would make more sense to me, would you recommend building one or is it better to buy one?

are you sure? I literally have never built anything in my entire life, I have no experience whatsoever with electrics

I could have done it myself, I snagged some help with the wiring to make sure I wouldn't burn the house down, lol, but I could have done it w/o help.

Watch the rush lane poultry vids, I hadn't done anything with electric either but was able to figure out what to do, but got someone to confirm anyway.... Links are in both coolerbator article and my article.

I will give them a watch when I get home this evening, I wasn't actually thinking about incubating any eggs before reading this but now it's definitelly appealing to me, so that alone shows that the thread is worth turning into a 'how to' post
