I doubt your EE layer that if it is only the second day that your BR is laying. EE take longer to mature and lay later than barred rocks due.
I think it was your barred rock. Their egg cycles will be confused at first, that may be the reason. I now have 16 EE. I love them all dearly, and could never get rid of them, but it kinda makes blue eggs less eggsciting. (overused egg pun)![]()
