I'm confused?

ok, so i got a few ducklings in the spring and i think my female started laying, but im not sure. the egg is white, and my mom has chickens that should be laying anyday now, but she has RIRs and red stars and 1 black star, i thought they layed brown eggs? could this be a duck egg?!?!?!?!?!?! im not sure.

I have red stars and RIR's and they do lay brown eggs. The red stars are very brown, the RIR's aren't quite as dark, but they're definitely at least a dark tan, and I'm pretty sure that the black star lay brown too. Hope this helps...If they're white, I'd say it's a duck egg.

Yay! Thanks guys it really did help. I already knew what color eggs the chickens laid but I thought maybe they laid white, but I was pretty sure they didnt. I just penned up the female so I can get the eggs in the morning.
