I'm cuckoo for Cuckoo Orpingtons!

You can get chocolate bantam orps.

The standards is another story. Someone was working on them but it was only cockerals hatching with the color.

Cool Jared, I'm glad to see you opened your project up for us all to see..hope to see a full flock of them soon in your backyard..

Thanks Charlie! It was late and I was tired when I posted the colors and I was racking my brain and I can't believe I left them off. I'll go fix it LOL!

I was really glad to get the white legs right off. That saved a lot of work and time.

I can't wait to see the araucana you were talking about.

Wow Jared, this is awesome. I love the pics and they're looking terrific!

Did you get blacks chicks from that white X black mating as well? If so take those blacks back to your white and see if you get more whites.

If the white is recessive, you'll need two copies and that's how you'd get it. Barring only takes one copy to show. Congrats!

I did get black chicks from that crossing. I'll raise the next batch and breed them and see what happens. I guess I was assuming that they would have some white somewhere on them. Hmmmm... that leads to another question. Someone told me that if the white is recessive, then they will look "pure" white instead of the "dirty" or yellow looking dominant white, which is what mine look like, especially against the snow. But I guess if it was dominant white then the white would have come through in the cross. So many questions, so much waiting!
