Looking forward to learning lots here! Hello to everyone. I've wanted to have chickens for years. I lived in a small town in KS and it wasn't allowed. I became know as the chicken lady because I carried a petition around town to change the ordinance. It was an extremely controversial topic! No luck there, but now I'm in Galveston and to my delight chickens are allowed in town (maximum of 6). I'm moving into a small home soon and looking forward to getting started. I will start raised bed gardening also and hope to grow enough to share lots to the chickens. I have 2 senior cats an am wondering how they are going to react. They are indoor cats but I always provide a way for them to get outside in :)a protected area. If nothing else the chickens will do away with any boredom they might have! Going to be great:)

Hi Deb,

My name is Candy and I am moving to Galveston this summer. I have had chickens here in Denver for several years, but still consider myself a novice. I plan to set up a new coop when I get the Galveston and gardens too. Would love to hear how you are doing on your chicken journey!
