Thanks! I'm looking forward to the support and sharing of info.Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to the support and experience of everyone, especially those in a tropical area. My last flock in Texas was all Red Junglefowl, the ancestral Vietnamese wild bird. They never had one health problem. So I'm a panicky new mom now, trying to learn the diseases & how to avoid them. I've had 3 illnesses in 2 months, despite getting a 'perfect' rating from my vet in terms of habitat & care.

No testing - he watched a video of the raspy chick & prescribed Virkon fumigation, but I've never done it. I think I'll do OK, let the coop dry for a few hours before letting any residents back in.Welcome to BYC.
Did your vet happen to do any testing on your birds to determine which illness you're dealing with?
Unfortunately most respiratory type illnesses are diseases that don't necessarily ever go away.
