Okay i bought this little giant incubator i tired hatching duck egg........i was new to it forgot to put water in the little well buuut i leaned. So after that i decided to try it agian.......so i got 2 EE egg and 3 bantam silkie egg and put them in.......i have an automatic turner and it worked well all the eggs were fertile and only 2 hatched........and i thought 2 hatched yeah it good the other just died.............soo 2 week after the 2 eggs hatched i decided that i would hatch some more so this time i got 2 EE eggs 1 RIR and 9 bantam eggs.....they were in the automatic turning and i filled the well up every 2 days and on the 18 day i went into lock down.............only 2 hatched agian!! and this time i was like okay something is going wrong that i am doing........i dont know what thoe.......i am in need of some help???? please?? thing is i did take the top off every 2 days to refill the well and the top was off for at least 1 minete to 2 minetes tops and i dont know if that had an effect on it......?

What was you temperature and humidity management? What numbers?

i dont know the humidity but the tempiture was 99 to 101 and never went up or down.......

humidity would be my guess. They are bad to have to much.
I dry hatch have you looked into it. Well, not a true dry, just 40% until moved to hatcher then 65 to 80%
I am getting 90 % hatch on turkeys doing it that way.

How do i no what humidity i have it on??? i thought just on the right tempiture and everything would go okay??? can someone tell me how the humidtiy goes how i can increase it and what kind of thermoneter i should use??

you can get a cheap humidity/temp digital display at walmart for about 5 bucks. humidity should be monitered and during hatch it should be up higher about 70% at least! you should see moisture on the window, but shouldn't have too much as chicks can drown before they hatch.there is good info in the forum.

some people put a sponge and get it wet along with filling the wells, I use a maxi pad, it holds more water.
