I have 3 layers, 1 setter, a bantam rooster (we think) and 2 unsexed. I received a dozen fertilized eggs on Friday and put 6 under my setter, and 6 in a new incubator ( Janoel12) to kinda test my abilities at it. So far, not good. The first day was great, but second day the temp got way too low, so I wrapped a blanket around it (as I seen in reviews) BIG MISTAKE. Temps got to atleast 109, now I can't get it to come up high enough.

Welcome Joanie, where are you keeping the incubator? It needs to be in a controlled space with not much temp swing, only a few degrees one way or another. If you already have it in the house then it may have a thermostat problem if you can't keep a steady temp in the incubator.Good luck, keep us posted.

Hi there!
Welcome to BYC and thanks for joining our flock!
This video should help you find your way around, enjoy!

Do you have a temp/humidity meter or are you going off of the settings? Defiantly rely on a couple* meters. Welcome and good luck with the hatch.
