I'm finally getting ducks!

Yes I'm finally getting ducks! After weeks of asking my mom I'm getting ducks I'm so excited! If anyone has ideas or tips for me it would be very much appreciated thank you!
Hi and welcome to BYC:frow We're so happy you've joined us:ya When you have a sec, pop over to new member introductions and introduce yourself to the group.

How old will your ducks be when you get them? What breed are you getting? Where are they going to live? What's the weather like where you're at?

Hi thank you for replying my ducks will I'm guessing be one day old. I'm getting multiple breeds cause I just love different breeds. My ducks will be I. A old dog kennel repurposed into a duck house. The weather were I'm at is hot at the moment but will cool down in a few months I hope I answered everything !

Ok You're going to need a gamebird starter feed and a place to brood them. You'll want a nice waterer and room for them to run around. @Ravynscroft can you pop in with a pic of your waterers. For the first few weeks (for me its three--but I'll defer to ravyn if she offers different instructions. I also give them baby grit and brewers yeast (not bread yeast), ravyn can tell you where to find niacin. Again welcome to BYC and most everything I've learned about ducks has been from Ravyn.

Welcome!! And HOORAY for the ducks!! It's so eggciting for you! Have you got an enclosure set up for them? Share your pics!!

Congrats!! Ducklings are messy and lots of work, but sooo worth it!

@rjohns39 do you have those waterer pics I sent you? My SD card got corrupted and I lost a lot of pics...

Purina Flock Raiser works easiest for ducklings from beginning, if it's available in your area... I will be back later with links for brewers yeast and/or Niacin if needed...

Thanks!
This one is not *my own pic* but works... hole needs to be a little smaller, just bigger than their heads so bodys can't get in... and resized weekly as they grow...
