I'm getting 4 Guineas tomorrow!

I had gotten my first 4 Guineas several years ago. I loved those foolish things but I lost them all to an owl. Ok, I lost 3 of them to an owl and the 4th escaped to the wild, hatched a clutch of chicks that got eaten by fox.

Anyway, I am getting either 4 or 6 4 week old chicks tomorrow! I have the area all ready for them, they will be penned up beside the chickens so nothign can get to them.

I can't wait!

Have fun! We have guineas for the first time this year, we raised them in an enclosed run for 4 months before letting them out. So far so good, everyone comes in at night. We only free range on my days off or in the evening due to a large chicken loss this spring from a fox. I know not a fool proof plan, but so far so good. Good luck to you. Interesting creatures they are!

How soon before I can tell what sex they are? What is the best feed for them. They are a month old. I ended up getting 5.
