Welcome! I'm new myself and am already hooked on this site.

As for your dog, I just wanted to let you know that we have three dogs, two toy poodle mixes and a German shorthaired pointer and they all completely ignore our ducks. Even the pointer which is a bird dog! When we moved the ducklings to the pen outside the dogs were curious but never tried to get to them. The first few times we let them loose in the yard we kept the dogs on leashes and whenever they would pay no interest in the ducks we'd give them lots of praise.
